Property taxes are ad-valorem taxes, which means the tax amount is based on the value. The appraisal district uses available property data about your property (sometimes several years old) to value your home. Do you know the market value of your property? TexPTAN listed agents do... or at least can easily find out and can then answer questions or provide advice on steps that are needed to keep your property taxes fair and equitable.
